For me, visiting Dog On The Tucker Box is like a rite of passage. It's something I did as a youngster with family, and on school trips to the snowfields. It has certainly improved since I went last time (about 30 years ago.) The dog hasn't improved with age, but it equally isn't any worse. I wish I knew its secret to staying looking healthy. There's a cafe / shop nearby which sells food, coffees, and some trinkets that could adorn your mantlepiece or be put in your garden. Prices are certainly reasonable, and if you're looking for a snack or way to help stretch the legs, I'd recommend the very short detour to visit this place.

Great place to visit to stretch and take a break. I love to support the locals with their taste food and awesome souvenirs!

Always love stopping here on the way up to Sydney, it's a great spot to get out and stretch your legs, as well as the obligatory nature stop, ( if you get my meaning) can also grab something to eat and drink at local shop that is there plus it's a great bit of Australian history, can still remember the first stop we made there when the family was much younger, can still see the looks on the kids faces as they finally put a place to the famous part of Australian folk lore. Will always stop there.. Highly recommended
